The engine side cases have been professionally polished.
SPECIAL NOTE: This engine protector (skid plate) is a one-of-a-kind CAST ALUMINUM CUSTOM MADE reproduction of the original fiberglass model! The first owner of this machine worked in an aluminum foundry. He used the original protector and made a sand mold. He then cast this protector. This is the only one in existence. For those of you who have owned the 1974 model, you certainly know that the engine protector plate was the weakest point on this machine. Yamaha redesigned this for the 1976 models and it was an aluminum stamping.
The engine side cases have been professionally polished.
The carburetor is a Mikuni that replaces the original TK model, and it is new and properly jetted.
The sprockets and chain are new, the front and rear brake shoes are new.

The scratches on the frame (near the exhaust pipe) are from shipping abrasion when the machine was crated and shipped to Jim several years ago. With the exception of a few minutes of test riding, this machine HAS NOT BEEN RIDDEN SINCE THE RESTORATION and has never been used in a competition of any kind.
The lower fork legs and triple trees have been professionally polished. Everything in the front suspension is inspected, cleaned and reassembled. The fork seals and oil are new.
For several years, this machine has sat in this location in Jim's climate controlled warehouse with his vintage Schwinn bicycles and antique cars where it is today....
